The Current School Board Majority Doesn’t Represent Our Community

Ken Witt, John Newkirk and Julie Williams were elected to the Jeffco School Board in November of 2013. Since that time they have shown time and time again that they don’t represent our Jeffco Community.

Ken Witt sits as the Chair of the Board but that doesn’t keep him from bullying students, or displaying personal information about a minor student on the screen during a Board Meeting because he disagreed with her favoring a tweet about burritos. Sound preposterous? It is – learn more here

Mr. Witt also regularly violates sunshine laws and open records laws.

John Newkirk doesn’t want to be bothered listening to the community who come for public comment at a board meeting.

Mr. Newkirk also likes to compare Jeffco charter schools students to blacks in the Deep South in the 60s

Julie Williams is nationally famous for trying to censor AP U.S. History to make sure the “Materials should not encourage or condone civil disorder, social strife or disregard of the law.” this attempted censorship lead to thousands of students walking out of class in protest.
