Not Enough Seats For All Students

We fought to build new schools to alleviate overcrowding and to have seats for new students moving into our district from new developments. The School Board Majority refuses to build any new schools.

Current projections indicate approx. 4,300 new households are expected in the NW Jeffco area (Candelas, Leyden Rock and Solterra to name the biggest developments) Jeffco won’t have seats for the new students these households are expected to have. Meiklejohn and West Woods elementary schools which are in the area are already over 100% of capacity. See more details here
